So you know that MIT professor who reached out on TV to Ahmed Mohamed to come visit their campus?  Her name is Chanda Hsu Prescod-Weinstein, and she is a Black Jewish queer agender ciswoman AND a theoretical physicist who focuses on dark matter and quantum gravity.  

Chanda created an awesome-looking reading list to #decolonializeSTEM; it seems clear that inviting Ahmed wasn’t a PR stunt but a sincere desire to mentor and diversify.

Minor correction: Chanda isn’t a professor at MIT, but a postdoctoral researcher. (She’s been vocal about correcting this on twitter—also, follow her twitter!)
